“ Located walking distance from the Docklands, this little cafe/restaurant is a must try. All the food is halal including hand slaughtered chicken. We visited in Ramadan to check out the iftar/dinner menu. We were pleasantly surprised that the starters also tasted really good, specially the Momos and chicken wings. Also includes roohafza and ice tea. Then came our mains. We had the beef ribs, lamb shanks, and chicken Maryland. All mains are served with rice topped with nuts and garden salad. Serving sizes are big for all dishes so you'll definitely be full. The ribs and shanks were cooked perfectly, the meat was tender and full of flavour. The rice and garden salad were also delicious. The chicken Maryland was a bit disappointing since it was cooked well but just had a lot of spices so we didn't enjoy the flavour. It wasn't spicy, but too much 'masala'. This is the only reason for not giving 5 stars. For dessert they served lukomades with vanilla icecream. They were fresh and delicious and a perfect end to the feast. You can also have masala tea as part of the deal. Overall we had a great experience and will definitely visit again to try the regular menu which is extensive. There is also space available to pray. Fahad and his team are very welcoming and I highly recommend Docklands Den. ”

“ I have had well over 500 meals here since 2022. Food has been consistently great. The friendly owner, Fahad, is also flexible to make pretty much whatever customisation you request. The mainstay staff Ainur is an awesome host. The new head chef Simran is excellent and immensely versatile. Primary highlights: lunch time curries and variety of Parma (my fav is mushroom sauce one). ”

Literally had the best chicken parmigiana of my life here - I even had to video call my sister back home in Brisbane to see it. Location is conveniently near the Newquay Docklands tram platform so its within the free tram area. ”
